Gift cards - Budgies
My Budgie prints appear timid, passive, meaningless and superficial, so they appeal aesthetically - enjoying the moment. Paradoxically, we see so many 'cheeky' toxic behaviours as harmless.
Much time was taken in developing a cohesive palette of colours across the works so they will work as an entire edition. They were inspired by the hot summer colours of regional New South Wales. One will notice that the repetition of the tablecloths is irregular, as each botanical was drawn independently. Emphasising the importance of human creation and the beauty of inconsistencies.
