I am Barb Livingston, the Creative Director and practicing artist. "With a Pencil" is a business I created to centralise my artist services. Flexing my skills as a creative on uniquely place based works, I highlight the environment and history in a rural context. These gifts are an ongoing pleasure that they bring joy to others. Harnessing my broad skill base for good, that comes from years of training, curiosity and collaboration - to my lesson development means there I can impart deep knowledge and a passion for playing with materials in different contexts – and  - to a wide range of skill and ability participants. Recently I have a deeper yearning to develop work with more social, political and historical meaning. Connecting audiences to the world around them, that may otherwise be missed, in a beautiful and disarming way has been a joy in my latest work.
