Fauna is a Yellow-faced blue Budgie - Melopsittacus undulatus.

Making a mockery of the refined space, this mug of a budgie is trying to regain their balance. Actions of a fun filled evening ends in a hot chocolate splooshing onto the Protea tablecloth. A larrikin though and through this critter is a true fleabag at the party. Hand coloured Mug Budgie Lino print it is under-painted with gouache to emphasise the details of the form and the flowers.

Sold unframed, each image will be signed and dated as per convention. There are only 12 of these prints being made.

Lino block artworks go through a rigorous process when they are being printed and allow the artist to create multiple prints. When a print is ordered, it will look mostly like the image presented on the website, following the same colour scheme, but due to the process of hand painting, the blending of tones and colours will be some variation between the prints. There will be dents in the paper made by the Lino Block making an impression on the page, this is a part of the material practice leaving the paper slightly embossed. When purchasing unframed artworks, some printmaking marks may appear in the unprinted portion of the page, these should be covered when the work is mounted/framed.
